Re: Saints Make One Responsible Move - Marcus Maye to be Cut
I never said we were struggling. I literally said our secondary was good. I said our pass rush is slow. What you get when you combine a good secondary, slow pass rush, and weak schedule of opposing offenses is the sort of rankings you list. What we we are talking about is how we might improve our passing defense. My argument is that when you have a chain that has a very strong link and a very weak link, you do not make the whole chain stronger by ignoring the weak link and trying to reinforce the strong link. ****ty opposing QBs had 45 seconds to find ****ty opposing receivers open against very good secondary because they were not afraid of slow pass rushers. The secondary is not what you upgrade to improve on that.
