I would suggest reading up a bit on the kid and avoid generalizing. I'm assuming when you say "everyone we draft", you mean Quarterbacks.

Rattler has abilities none of our previous QB draft picks had or will ever have.

The Saints had a Snake once. I hope that Rattler becomes what Stabler was before he came to the Saints.

We actually had two “Snakes” before: Stabler and Jake. And we let the second one walk to the Carolina Kitty Cats and bring them to a SB in his first year there.

I don't recall Delhomme being called Snake but I'm not surprised that some called him that. Like Jake Plummer. If your name is Jake, your nickname is inevitably Snake.

Edit: I preferred Brooks over Delhomme.

I believe it was during the Christmas Eve, 1999 game against Dallas. Public Address Announcer, Jerry Romig shouted "Jake The Snake Delhomme!!" After Delhomme scrambled free to hit Keith Poole with an 8-yard touchdown pass for a 10-0 lead after one quarter.
