I grew up on a ranch in west Texas and we had rattlesnakes everywhere. Honestly, I don't mind a rattlesnake. They aren't eager to get into a fight and warn you when they think you are getting too close when they begin to shake their rattles. Unlike, a water moccasin. Those guys are just mean and will chase you for no reason other than looking for a fight.

We actually had a side job collecting rattlers and selling them by the pound. Simply get a squeeze bottle full of gasoline. Spray it deep in a rattlesnake den, light it and wait or then to come out. We had a long pole with a noose on one end and would collect them and put them in a tow sack while some with welding gloves held the tow sack. That was the scariest part. The snakes were sold for their meat, skins, and venom to make an anti venom for snake bites. I'm really surprise that I was never bitten. There were literally hundreds of opportunities almost every day. They even crawled up in your boots if you left them outside. The Texas slogan is don't tread on me.

Give me a rattler....preferably a diamond back. At least you now where they are and what they're thinking.

**** those things, they are terrifying. I work on a ranch in south Texas and they’re everywhere. They don’t always warn you either. Some of these guys say they are “evolving” to remain silent. Sounds like BS but I’ve walked right up on them and they just sat there. The first time one raised up and rattled it struck the fear of god in me. I had seen them in movies and thought the sound was exaggerated for dramatic effect. It’s not, it’s worse in person. My dog got bit and almost died. 12k later he is doing fine but when the necrosis set in I nearly lost my ****. I’m scared ****less of them and I’m not scared of anything out in the wild. I’ve caught alligators with my hands, hog tied wild pigs, faced two grizzly bears, a 225 inch whitetail buck in rut and a mugger. **** rattlesnakes.

Rattler is being promoted a lot by the Saints FO. He might hit the field a lot sooner than later.

I was watching an interview with Rattler and I have mixed feelings about him. Initially, I thought he was a punk with talent but he seems like a pretty sharp fellow when he answers reporters questions. Hopefully, he has matured with time and has learned how to be humble. I still am pulling for Haener though. I like his Moxy.

He had a bad rep from being in that Netflix thing as a highschooler. Lots of people still carry that perception of him, which is understandable if they havn't seen anything else about him since.

But in reality, he has been trough some very formative years where a lot of maturation and personal development takes place so it shouldn't be a surprise that he is "somebody else" nowadays.
