Take it for what it's worth, but he was a friend of a friend and supposedly did not like living in New Orleans/Louisiana. He did well when he left, good for him. |

Re: Reggie Bush
We couldn't pay him starter money to play behind "The Bill and Chuck Show," the same starter money he knew could get elsewhere. It wasn't a mistake, it was a sound financial decision.

Re: Reggie Bush
Gotta disagree with you there Guido. He was only in his second year after a mediocre at best rookie year. Plus his next 2 seasons were at Miami where he played in about 8 games over the next two season. Injuries may have hampered him, but he didn’t leave the Saints for starter money after 1 season.

Re: Reggie Bush
Back to the subject of the thread, Reggie Bush. I can't believe no one has mentioned that the Heisman Trust just gave Reggie his Heisman back and the replica back to USC.

He was cut after his first season and claimed off waivers by the Dolphins who paid out year 2 and three of the contract. Saints could have kept him at his original contract but decided not to. Miami paid him the same money the Saints originally greed to, hence he did not leave for money. |
