I would slightly prefer Love's contract to Carr's. Love's contract was a 4 year extension not a new deal, it keeps this 2024 salary at 10.5m, so overall it is 5yr 46m/yr. Carr's contract was signed in 2023 before the cap went up 13.6% in 2024 so if we adjust for inflation, Carr's 37.5m/yr deal is more like 42m/yr. QB contracts are always going up and you have to sign a QB some year and there is no year that won't seem like a bargain compared to the next year, but not all QB contracts are a bargain, so you have to adjust for salary cap inflation.

So apples to apples, adjusting for inflation and the extension vs new contract structure, Love is making 46m vs Carr 42m. I don't think either is a bargain, but I would pay 10% more for Love in a heartbeat knowing Love is much younger, generally had better 2023 stats, and had those stats with much less experience, and therefore has much higher upside and potential longevity.

However, if Love went on a podcast and bragged about how he gave Green Bay and brake and told them he wasn't worried about money and just wanted the team to have money to spare so they could win a championship, I would call that BS and kind of wonder if he was a sociopathic narcissist.
