You have to remember, he is playing against guys who will be bagging our groceries in a couple weeks.

Rattler is a legit NFL QB prospect with the tools.

He made the most of the opportunity regardless of who he faced. We couldn't say that with Ian Book .

With his skill set, he'll likely surpass Haener and in a year probably compete for Carr's job.

For where he was drafted, terrific value.

I don’t doubt he has everything it takes. I’m just not getting a hard one after playing against 5th stringers

This is the absolute truth. I'd expect that Rattler is the first one in next week instead of Haener. We may not see Carr at all. Here's hoping he keeps looking smooth and takes over that backup spot and actually has a chance at the starting gig in 2025 if he proves to be a decent replacement for Carr.

It isn’t always about that when you know what to look for. He goes through his reads. He makes his decisions quickly. He scrambles efficiently, effectively, and with purpose. His throwing motion is pure and his arm talent is evident. That back shoulder throw was flick of the wrist and right on the money. The receiver was covered. Doesn’t matter by who. He still threw him open. Of course you want to see him against better competition but you also want to see him better complimentary pieces as well. Guarantee the run game opens up when he’s behind center.

THIS^^^ That right there is what I have been trying to say for a long time. “When you know what to look for”… It doesn’t matter how solid or broken the O-Line might be, or who the Offensive Coordinator is… there are tangible (and intangible) aspects that tell you all you need to know about Carr as opposed to Rattler. You can see it with your eyes and feel it in your gut. The same thing can be said for Dennis Allen, as opposed to a real Head Coach with presence and fire.

Y’all who defend these positions simply because of the financial commitment and/or weird dysfunctional ties to our accepted mismanagement, are simply showing your loyalty to the front office.
