Week 2: Saints @ Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys vs. Saints Game Info
When: Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET
Where: AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
TV Info: FOX

After firing on all cyclinders in a week one massacre of the Panthers, we go on the road to face an excellent regular season team in the Dallas Cowboys. Not only do they have an explosive offensive, they generate a ton of pressure on defense. While beating the Panthers in that manner was satisfying for the soul, this will be a statement game and give us a good idea of what to expect for the rest of the season imo.

On paper, we match up pretty well defensively. The biggest question here will be how will Carr and our offensive line handle their pass rush. How will Kubiak game plan for that and will Carr be able to execute?

Cowboys vs. Saints Odds

BetMGM Cowboys (-6.5) 45.5
DraftKings Cowboys (-7) 45
FanDuel Cowboys (-6.5) 45.5

It's going to be a big, big week.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Dallas will be a tough opponent.

Zimmer is already game-planning for us (he has tape). Their defensive line is pretty stout & our offensive line will be tested early. Have to find a way to keep DLawrence and Parsons contained.

Winnable but the Saints must bring their A game, specifically in those trenches.

Any Given Sunday.

The amount of pressure they were able to generate against the Browns was scary. With that being said, Deshaun Watson was hot garbage. This will be a true test to see if our offensive line has really improved. I do think we should be able to run the football but we'll see how Kubiak gameplans.

The thing about the Dallas pass rush is that they line up Parsons everywhere.

Gotta somehow keep Carr clean.

Re: Week 2: Saints @ Dallas Cowboys

We came out HOT at home against a bad team and a division rival in the Panthers. It was the PERFECT start to the season, which actually BEGINS next week on the road against the Cowboys.

I say this because we “should” have all of the confidence needed to prove that whatever we developed under wraps, and flaunted against the Panthers, can be brought onto the road and executed against a tougher opponent. If we can even come close to dominating the Cowboys in their house, the way we looked in the Dome yesterday, we will know that we have something special going on this season. The whole league will be put on notice. Sunday can’t come quick enough…

So the spread is Cows (-6.5) 45.5 after the Saints absolutely flame broiled a NFL team by damn near 40 points 👀.

I knew the Carolina Panthers were bad but not this bad.

Or perhaps (the dreaded) we’re not that good? We will find out soon enough…
