Now that the Saints have blossomed into an absolute powerhouse, and a team that is surprisingly (to me) a team that is more exciting to watch than during much of the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era, the weekend cannot get here fast enough.

I can honestly say that I still don’t know quite what to expect. This Eagles game could easily be the ultimate spoiler, at home, while we’re still high on the last two weeks, but that’s part of the fire that makes a Saints game a Saints game.

I have been critical of Dennis Allen, Derek Carr, Mickey Loomis, and Lady Gayle herself, and will still say that individually, they don’t move me the way Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Mickey Loomis (during those years) and Tom Benson did, but the sum of these current parts is a formula that is proving itself to be a force to be reckoned with. This I cannot deny.

For me, THE SAINTS are bigger than its parts. Beyond a superstition, and certainly emerging from the relative obscurity that has made me so NEGA for the past two years, We may be looking at a SUPER BOWL this year. There I said it! I cannot predict what is going to happen on Sunday, when an Eagles team with a chip on its shoulder comes into the dome. But if we beat them, I believe that we will have enough steam to beat KC, or anyone on our schedule, all the way to the big game.

This is no jinx. I am gathering my candles, incense, cigarettes, low dose aspirin, snacks and various beverages TODAY, and decorating my Altar in preparation for this TRULY EXCITING WEEKEND AHEAD!

Bro, you need to chillax. I have no idea about any previous negativity but if your self proclaimed negativity was as low as this post (above) is high, then you may need to ease off the pedal a bit.

First off, it is two games. We all need to get a grip, there are 15 more games in this season. 15. Injuries can/will inevitably occur, teams can start scheming and taking notice, etc etc. Point being there is a LONG WAY to go and super bowl talk for anyone is premature.

I am fearful for your health with the extreme up and down nature of excitement and self proclaimed negativity friend.

Thank you for your concern for my health. A Voodoo Priestess turned me on to blending organic tobacco and low dose aspirin, locally sourced espresso roast in the first half - and a fine cabernet for the second half… and my physical health has never been better. My mental health, on the other hand… well… I’ve been around when people used to wear paper bags on their heads at the Dome.

You burned that bridge over the past two years. Multiple posts in every thread about how much this team sucks, how much the coaches suck, how much the players suck, how much the owner sucks. All the rest of us wanted was to be able to talk about our team. All YOU wanted was to make it all about YOU and YOUR agenda. A good number of members got fed up with YOUR non-stop agenda and abandoned the site. No matter what YOU believe YOU made the past two years about nothing other than YOU and YOUR ego.

People may choose to abandon this site for various reasons, and you may choose to abandon me for the reasons that you state, but despite all of my b*tching and moaning during our dark times, I have NEVER abandoned my Saints… or YOU for that matter. ⚜️

Somewhere deep inside, just as you KNEW that we would see Derek Carr shine, you must have KNOWN that you and I would be chatting again, under WINNING circumstances!

NEVER abandoned MY SAINTS. NEVER. I was here through the darkest hours (and there were many), and when I b*tched and moaned, it was about MY SAINTS. It was never about me, and it was never about you. This is all about MY SAINTS. When they $uck, I b*tch and moan. When they WIN, I celebrate.
