Jerome Pathon
The Falcons have shown patience with wide receiver Dez White, who has retained his starting job, despite having just two receptions this season. However, after failing to make two catches and being called for a costly holding penalty against the Saints, he was kept on the sideline in the fourth quarter. Coach Jim Mora declined comment on White's status but said recently signed wide receiver Jerome Pathon, who has been inactive the past three games, could be activated next Monday against the New York Jets if he has a good week of practice.

In a move hinted at by coach Jim Mora earlier in the week, the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday demoted veteran Dez White, not only from the starting lineup but to the bottom of the wide receiver depth chart.
The team's newest wide receiver, veteran Jerome Pathon, who was signed two weeks ago as a free agent, will move up to the No. 4 spot now as part of the shakeup, behind Jenkins, Finneran and Roddy White. Pathon has yet to play in a game, but is a solid and experienced wide receiver who should be able to contribute if he gets playing time. 8) |
