Do not get me wrong, I see where you are coming from. I also know that agents use that increase in cap each year to argue for more money and a cap increase will go to the top players while the team adds 7 players with minimal compensation to say they have done their part. |

It could never happen. The NFL operates under a collectively bargained agreement between ownership and players. The whole structure guarantees that nothing like that ever could take place. The cap is contractually tied to revenues. The players are contractually guaranteed 48.8% of that revenue.
