this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I’ll really miss him. I’m a huge Lattimore fan. That’s a fair trade though....

Good luck Lattimore. You get to play with a real QB.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore
I think this is a good return. I expect Washington will either cut Lattimore at the end of the year or he will take a big pay cut if he likes it there. We got a decent return because we paid basically all of Lattimore’s salary except the vet minimum when we restructured him, so Washington got a $400k rental for the rest of the year, virtually free to their cap.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore
Just heard that this is not yet a finalized deal. They made a point to mention it was still pending passing a physical to be official. A physical is a standard step in all trades, but it usually doesn't get mentioned as being such a key step publicly. Given he's missed half his games over the last three seasons it isn't a slam dunk.

Good luck Mr Lattimore. Thanks for all you've done for this team over the seasons. Hope all goes well for your NFL future with your new team.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore
This is tough, he's been a baller from day 1! At least we didn't give him away for nothing. Can we trade Derrick Carr? Or maybe Ruiz? Granderson too, after that outfit he wore the other day.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore
Hoping nothing, but success for Lattimore and I am happy we got something in return. I will also be watching how many times he gets hurt while in Washington. If he plays two completely healthy years up there, then that shows something is very wrong with strength and conditioning down here. Watching the Saints and Pelicans lose players to injury is killing me.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore
Even more money on next years cap woth all that dead money. Going to have to give out some horrible extensions to players you don't really want just to get under the cap. It's going to take multiple years to fix this mess and whoever is ultimately responsible be it Loomis,Ireland or both need fired
