Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
I’m really starting to hate Loomis.

Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
Brian Flores please call Mickey and just tell him you are willing to take this job. Joe Brady, Kellen Moore? Stop wasting fans time.

Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
Reading some of these names and it just seems Mickey wants someone who he can control and won't demand to control roster and staff building.

Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
Whoever takes on this role must be capable of motivating both the team and the other coaches, ensuring that they are effectively teaching fundamental skills, such as tackling. It’s evident that basic fundamentals in blocking and tackling were neglected this season. Additionally, we need to evaluate our medical and conditioning staff to determine the root cause of all the injuries we’ve experienced.
The last thing we need is a coach who brings or invites drama to the team. |
Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
I like Joe Brady, but he seems a bit young still. Perhaps that means nothing, since Sean McVay and some others have been young head coaches as well.
I have always been of the mindset that it is best to have an offensive minded head coach with a great defensive coordinator. I really don't have any stats to back that up, so I could be totally wrong. |
Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
Word is that they are interviewing David Shaw from Stanford.
If Loomis brings him (or any lesser known college coach in not named Sanders) in, he's looking for someone who will bend without push back. It's also a refusal to adjust to rebuilding instead of putting a band-aid on a bullet wound! |
Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors
I think we should consider Pete Carroll because I get the sense he could outcharm Mickey Loomis with an older lady for influence on decisions and he is not a proponent of paying mediocre aging QBs ridiculous money. Just get Pete in a room with Gayle lets see Mr Big League Chew try to shoot down that smile. Pete would likely be willing to coach short term and could transition into a GM role and would be a very good qualified GM. Pete's problem with the Seahawks was he could not lose enough games to get a top QB in the draft. We have the roster that can solve that in 2025.
