Josh Conerly - OT
Oregon

Overview
Two-year starter whose in-season improvement and performance against Penn State’s Abdul Carter make it easier to project his future. Conerly is proportionally built but lacks ideal play strength.

Strengths
- Showed vast improvement as the season progressed.
- Movements are composed and relatively athletic.
- Accelerates hard into down blocks.
- Works with strain at the point of attack and is rarely on the ground.

Weaknesses
Lacks pace to collect linebacker on work-up blocks.
Needs to improve his play strength and play bigger.

1st and 2nd round grades

They won't draft the geriatric QB.
I'm not sure who will be there after rd 1. Giants might move up for Dart. If Saints want Dart they're gonna need to move into the 20s. Giants have a high enough pick in round 2 to move up around there.

Hope they don't want Dart. He was crying like a school girl on the sidelines during a game this past year .

It has reached the point where I am just hoping they don't trade up. I don't see anyone in this draft worth mortgaging the future.

And that includes trading back into the first round.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

There is absolutely no reason to draft a QB at all right now. Just roll with Rat and see what you have. Draft some effing OL and DL/End/Secondary guys. Maybe another WR and/or TE.

There is no QB in this draft aside from Ward that is worth a move up. And I think the QBs next year are better than Ward. This QB draft is weak and selling draft picks to move up to get one is stupid.

If you can get one of them in the 2nd or 3rd round and you want to take a flyer I can understand. But in doing that, you might be passing on a solid pick that may be able to help immediately.

I gotta disagree. I doubt Arch Manning comes out next year so scratch him off the list. Nico Iamaleava is raw talent without the numbers to back it up, plus there's going to be character questions with the move he tried to pull on Tennessee. Garret Nussmeier isn't better than Ward or Sanders and is more in line with a Jaxson Dart. It might a deeper draft class for QB's next year but the top of the class isn't really head and shoulders above this one.
