Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Tyler Shough - QB
Louisville Strengths - Displays good command and full-field passing talent when protected. - Adequate timing getting through his progressions. - Effective use of eyes to hold linebackers and safeties. - Splashy arm talent throws are all over his tape. Weaknesses - Sluggish operation time working quick-game throws. - Lacks poise and mobility to overcome turbulent pockets. - Occasional issues allowing routes to unwind and develop. - Falls way off delivery when pressure is mounting in front of him. - Gunslinger mentality brings occasional lapses in decision-making. - Not enough “extend and win” when flushed from the pocket. - Missed substantial time due to injury in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Draft projection - Rd 2 or 3 Tyler will be 26 in September & has had a substantial injury history. Based on injuries alone, he would be off of my draft board. The Saints need immediate contributors. |

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
The guy in the building, aka The Bayou Rattler, has arm strength to rival Brett Favre's. An NFL team today can't afford the kind of passer to rely on timing like a Shedeur and others like him. We have a Shedeur equivalent already in Pretty Boy Haener. We don't need another interception machine.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I like Rattler a lot. I really do. His arm talent is elite. He's matured so much over the years. I believe he'll be a starter in this league.
On the other hands...for all of those that miss the Drew Brees era...Sanders is going to be the closest thing to that. Not to mention the NFL is going to want him to succeed. It's good for the league and the bottom line. If Sanders is off the board before 9 then I'm fine letting Rattler play out the season. |
