The 2025 Saints just got better. Carr was never going to play 17 games in 2025 and was likely to miss more than he played. Now the player who will actually start the majority of games will get the work in training camp and practice with an offense designed for him.

This thread should be justification enough to roll with Rattler for this season.

Concentrate on the OL and other pieces to keep him upright. We've seen Rattler's Favre-like arm strength already. Not sure any QB in the 2025 pool has anything close to that. And if anything, the NFL has super tight windows only QBs with this type of arm strength can complete.

I'm convinced that Rattler is our guy this year at the very least.

First one in, first one out. That’s the markings of a good quarterback, and Spencer Rattler is already exhibiting those traits. The New Orleans Saints don’t begin voluntary offseason workouts until Monday April 14. Rattler shared a photo on Instagram Saturday morning from the Saints practice facility.

This comes on the heels of the news Derek Carr may not be able to play this season. The injury news is a force multiplier on the importance of this offseason for the second-year quarterback.

Kellen Moore has previously stated how important the second offseason is for a player. Players are more familiar with the schedule and get a true break between seasons opposed to going from college to draft prep to NFL workouts.
