With the 9th pick in the Draft, the Saints select Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr.
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I like the Banks pick the more I think about it. My reservations about him have to do with roster management, not Banks. He's a prototypical left tackle, possibly with an Orlando Pace ceiling. He needs to start at LT ...

I like the Banks pick the more I think about it. My reservations about him have to do with roster management, not Banks.
He's a prototypical left tackle, possibly with an Orlando Pace ceiling. He needs to start at LT and we know Fuaga can play RT. Penning can do fine as tackle-eligible and second string tackle. If we try putting one of the 3 tackles at guard, it could be a dumpster fire. I'd actually be okay with drafting a guard in the 2nd to save us from ourselves! |
