Owners committee key to Saints not moving!

I am a lifelong Saints fan. I have been so mad at them I actually took off a jersey once after a game and threw it in the fireplace. However, no matter how bad they have been over the years, I've been there. The Saints are a part of New Orleans and Louisiana history, good or bad. We need to keep them with or without Gov "Blabineaux's" all talk, no action policy. I think we should depend on the committee the Commissioner set up of owners to study the New Orleans Saints issues. If you look at who is on the committee, you will see there are some respectable owners who will give the situation a fair shake. I think they are a caliber of businessmen that realize this issue could turn into a public relations nightmare for the NFL, who is key in this fight. A catrostrophic event could befall any one of the NFL teams and they could find themselves without a home. Any one of the owners could find themselves in a similar situation as Benson, and when they look at it from that point of view, I don't think they wouild "cut and run". Our best bet to save the Saints is with the NFL, the New Orleans Owners Committee and us the fans. Gov "Blabineaux" is history and probably a liability at this point in any negotiations with the Saints as well as hoping that Benson wakes up with any "self respect".

Let's show up in force at the LSU home games, no matter how bad it may taste for padding Benson's wallet. I live by "what goes around comes around". He had the perfect chance here to get everything he ever wanted from New Orleans, the State and the fans, just by being a good "Saint" and a "hero" in all of this. He chose another path, Benson's time will come, hopefully the NFL or this committee will put him in his place. Time will tell.

Regardless, if the NFL let's us down, we can always organize a "boycott" around the league with sympathetic fans and owners who realize that they could some day be in a similar situtation. This isn't about San Antonio or Los Angeles, this is about "the morally write thing to do". It's obivious that morality isn't one of Benson's virtues.

Prediction (prayer): The NFL steps in and does the right thing and not "stomp" on a City while it is down. I love New Orleans, I proposed to my wife on the banks of the Mississippi, I hate seeing her devastated like this. She'll be back, bigger and better than ever.
