Memorial Day Weekend

Someone had to start the thread...

First and foremost, I appreciate all who served on ultimately died for my freedom and I don't take that lightly. Most, if not all of us, have friends or family members that gave their life for what I still consider the best country on the planet (warts and all).

Today I'll be installing a tow hitch on my wife's Subaru. Almost everyone on the road system here has a Subaru.

Tomorrow after church I'll take my bike out of my truck and bike Farmers Loop. It's about 14 miles long. Not incredibly challenging but it's a good way to get right.

Monday morning I plan to drive about an hour north of Fairbanks on what's called the Haul Road to Prudhoe Bay. There was a fire in this area last year and I'm going to look for morel mushrooms. (I'm getting in touch with my inner hippie, Cruise). I just won't drive there in the Subaru. I can only handle so much hypocrisy.
And of course, the pièce de résistance, burgers and brats Monday night with family.

I hope you all have a great weekend.
