One major reason to believe in Rattler THIS season is the coaching staff (3 NFL QBs) and a healthy roster. Not an elite unit but enough pieces to make things happen. I wouldn't hate seeing him get his shot. |

Re: QB Poll
Okay, 76. Since Rattler hasn't differentiated himself from Shough even with a year's more experience in the league I would personally go with Shough given he was likely Moore's choice and given a guaranteed, yet still minimal rookie contract. I actually love the way Shough changes his arm angle on throws and his size and presence when he decides to run on those RPO's.
But, no telling what they are thinking and seeing behind their doors. As I said before, I'll support whatever they decide. |

Re: QB Poll
Not taking either side but u also have to realize rattler is still a yr younger. Yes he had a yr in the nfl but also came out 2 yrs younger then shough. Give him the extra 2 yrs in college where would he b? Not sure we have a great ab but both r ok but need time to see what we have. They were late or high on a lot of balls. Some still catchable. Some play calling I didn’t like that stopped drives. Don’t think they were on our qbs

Re: QB Poll
Hard call. They've been basically neck and neck through this whole thing. For me personally, I think I'd go with Shough and chase the upside. Rattler just seems to be who he is, and that's fine. I liked him last year, I still like him this year, but I don't know if there's a lot more potential there to be pulled out. Maybe there is, but it's pretty well hidden as of now. With Shough, I feel like I can much more clearly see the untapped potential. Can he reach it? Only time will tell. But I'd hope to give him every opportunity to do so.
All that said, I'm probably 65% certain that they go with Rattler, and I don't hate that either. It's very likely to be another tough season anyway, so we'll probably get an extended look at both guys eventually. I just want it to be a big enough sample size to be able to confidently say going into next year's draft whether we already have our QB or not. |

Re: QB Poll
I view the competition the opposite way of many in our fan base. Spencer Rattler is a 5th round pick. It doesn't matter if he's been here an extra year or not. Haener has been in the league for 3 years and both Rattler and Shough were able to clearly distinguish themselves from him. The 2nd round pick can't clearly distinguish himself from the 5th round pick. Not just a 5th round pick, but another regimes 5th round pick. Given where Shough was taken his stat line should look similar to a Jaxson Dart. Instead he's neck and neck with a 5th round pick. All that being said, start him. You picked him that high, so start him.

IMO he looks about the same as he did last season and my main issue is accuracy. Shough has the same problem. His ceiling may be higher but he's making just as many mistakes as Spencer. I can justify either guy starting so in a way I'm left agreeing with Guido - whoever starts is fine with me. |

Re: QB Poll
They need to start Shough. There is obviously something that Kellen Moore saw in him. Not all, but most rookies have growing pains. Look at Goff, Allen, Stafford, both the Mannings, Aikman, Farve, and others. The team needs to see what they have in this 2nd Round QB, in order to determine if they should use a pick on a 1st rounder next year or the year after. It just logical.
