Defense name ???

Alright now is about the time we need to start coming up with a great name for the Defense . Get it early , make it stick so we can get them fired up early in the season .

Some thoughts :

Gold Rush
Fleur de fence

Name Sammy Knight the " Knight Hawk "

Lets get some thoughts going . If we get them out there early we can hear the broadcasters put them to good use .

Let\'s wait until they can prove themselves in the regular season. Right now I would call them \"playing against a team who had played its second preseason game in four days\" not really the type of slogan you want on t-shirts :exclam: But hey, they are showing progress.

Give the defense a good name , get the guys pumped up with the fan support , and they could come flying out of the starting blocks .

Sometimes a player is worn down looks up into the stands and see\'s something that gives him that extra urge to dig in and get it done . Never under estimate the 12th man on the field .

How about changeing the name of the Super Dome to the Thunder Dome instead of nameing the defense. You may not see us coming, but you\'ll damn sure hear us. We\'ll rattle you! Have big signs saying, Welcome to Thunder Dome, We\'re gonna Roll all over you! :casstet:

Sell the naming rights to some company with thunder in it , and rename the dome Thunder Dome . Benson gets paid and is happy . Rename the defense Lightning . Everytime there is a sack they can roar the thunder .

Team slogan : Thunders just a noise, lightning does the work .

LSU\'S Tiger stadium is known as Death Valley. So why can\'t the Super Dome be known as The Thunder Dome if we, the fans choose to do so? Might be the answer to our 12th man. 60,000 screaming cajuns chanting Thunder Dome. And they thought the speakers on the field was bad. Might give the fans a way to get more into the game.

Thunder Dome works for me .There is going to be a lot of Mad Max jokes but in the end teams that play there will get the point . If Tina Turner sings the national anthem I quit though , thats where we draw the line .

At some point Benson is going to want to sell the rights to rename the Dome , so if the fans could find some way to tie \" Thunder Dome \" into corporate sponsorship , it wins all around .

All we have to do is come up with some corporation with some connection to thunder and lobby them . Like for instance , the weather channel . Drink company , Thunder cola now for sale in the Thunder Dome .

It might be easier to sell the idea off to an advertising exec . rather than 60,000 screaming fans .

Maybe one of the beer companies? everyone knows what beer does to us. lol. Thunder Beer, sounds good to me.And you\'re right about Tina, nice legs but..........
