LMAO!! Are you kidding me? My wife is hispanic. NOONE in her entire family plays soccer. They play football. And basketball. Your stereotyping of hispanic people is getting silly. OUTSIDE OF THE US, yes, a large majority of hispanics love soccer and baseball. BUT IN THE US, especially in South Texas, that is nowhere close to the truth. Football is the number one sport for hispanics here. But, due to Manu Gonobili, even in Argentina, basketball is beginning to overtake soccer as a national sport. You really should stop the stereo tryping.
.. your wife Boricua? .. doubt that she's of Mexican descent if no one in her family plays Futbol....
BTW, Basketball's been popular in Argentina for years, but it will never ever come even close to Soccer as the national pastime, because Italians prefer Soccer . Too much passion, history...

..and that concludes today's global socio-political editorial.

As opposed to the word of a guy who is simply stereotyping, does not live in the area, and prob never has? Um, yes. And you found a website about hispanics and soccer? Amazing. Will wonders never cease?

She is of Mexican descent. Her grandfather and grandmother came from Mexico. And noone on her mom's or dad's side plays soccer, and none of the relatives by marriage play soccer. They play football. They are from Laredo now. How much closer to Mexico do they have to be?

I think you will be surprised. ABC did a report on the increase in popularity of basketball in Argentina due to their gold medal, and Manu playing in the NBA, as well as now Uberto, and hopefully soon Luis Scola. IT may not overtake soccer tomorrow, but the number of kids picking up a basketball instead of kicking a soccer ball has increased dramatically.

No one wants to negotiate with San Antonio right now. They have already given the appearance of being underhanded with the Saints situation, so the trust factor for all other sport franchises is gone!!!!!!!!

Just quickly so no one gets the wrong impression, Boricua is someone from Borinquen (bore--in-ken), better known as Puerto Rico (although, calling some people Puerto Rican in itself may be an insult, ) .. and no one plays soccer in P.R.

... I have to say, I'm really surprised that no one in your wife's family plays soccer at all... next you are going to tell me they don't eat picante

... I wouldn''t take that ABC report too seriously.. if an Argentinian news crew would visit the U.S. and saw how many kids, both male and female, play soccer as compared to football, they'd probably go back to Argentina and declare soccer the new U.S. pastime.

...in any case, your Governor sucks
