um, i think you're going under the assumption that a deal would be made after he was franchised. like the deal that was made after howard was franchised. don't hate the messenger hate the paper it's written on.
Howard was never gonna get a long term deal. But I forget who I am talking to. Anyway, Howard was franchised so we could trade him and he wouldn't walk for nothing, PERIOD. We hadn't even been having long term contract talks with him, and we got STUCK with him when we didn't accept the trades that were out there. We have been actively speaking to Bentley about a long term deal. Plus, we don't have two centers Bentley's caliber on the roster, whereas we had Will Smith and Grant when we were gonna trade Howard. Please read up before just throwing stuff out there.
