this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I agree we need a veteran, with whomever we draft and QB....

This is all truly amazing to me. This happens every year.
Why do we always get on here and try to compare apples to oranges? Young and Leinert are nothing alike. One is a scrambler and the other is a pocket passer. Seems to me that each one has their own abilities. Both will be good in certain situations. None will be great in the wrong one. All these guys did was give us a great game. One for the ages. If I had my choice, I'd hate to be the one to have to pick one or the other. It depends on the system and the coaching. Both will be very good, given the chance. |

LOL I guess i'm the only one here on the Omar Jacobs bandwagon.
He'll soon be getting publicity, come combine time. I actually hope V. Young goes first so we get Reggie Bush. We'd have two legit targets for a veteran QB to throw to, since Joe Horn appears to be regressing. He can line up with Deuce in the backfield, and return kickoffs w/Michael Lewis. If we have a shot at Bush forget Leinart AND Young. Omar Jacobs can be had in the second or third round. |

Hey GT, no you're not the only one. Look at my mock in First and Gold. I think we can get Omar with our first pick in the second round and it should be a no brainer. We let him and AMAC battle for 2nd string and get a veteran for the next 2 or 3 years until either one steps up as the leader.

Lee Corso just gave his top five college teams for 2006:
1. Texas 2. Ohio State 3. USC 4. LSU 5. West Virginia and the other guy had the same with the exception of LSU he put Notre Dame in the 4th spot. |
