I am just glad I am back for all this talk....

First and formost I want to say that I respect everyone's comments. We all have opinions and especially for our leadership to this team. So with that said I want to play name this former star college QB. Here is his College Bio

Set 59 NCAA records during career , including most touchdown passes (121), most yards passing (15,031), most completions (958), most attempts (1,530) and most yards total offense (14,653)…Earned Heisman Trophy after throwing for 5,188 yards and 41 touchdowns as junior…Passed for 4,031 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior…Also received Maxwell Award as nation’s top college football player and Davey O’Brien Award as country’s top quarterback after junior campaign…Established NCAA record with 12 consecutive 300-yard passing games during junior season…Set school record with 599 yards passing and 6 touchdowns against San Diego State as senior…Graduated with degree in recreation administration.

This should be fun.....

How many national titles did Detmer win? How many wins in a row? So what's the point again? Oh, none? Gotcha.

Look man, This was a friendly question that had nothing to do with the Vince Matt debate. If you didn't have an answer for the question then why try to pick a fight. It is draft season for the Saints and I wanted to post some remarkable college stats of players who have been NFL flops. So please play the game or go to one of my other threads that has asked you to convince me of Matt's greatness, which you have yet to do, just leave this one alone.

Now on to the next one

Set season records in rushing average (7.8) and 100-yard games (9)...Named co-MVP of the 1994 Rose Bowl with 156 rushing yards and three TDs on 21 carries, including an 83-yard score, in victory over Oregon...The runner-up in the 1994 Heisman Trophy voting, he also was a finalist for Doak Walker and Maxwell Awards...Voted "Back of the Year" by Washington D.C. Touchdown Club...Had a junior season where he ranked fourth nationally in rushing (139.9), second in scoring (10.8 ppg.) and fifth in yardage (158.4), which led the Big Ten Conference in all three categories...Averaged 6.6 yards per carry in 1993, as he became the first player to top the 6.0 mark since Curt Warner in 1981...Averaged 6.3 yards per carry rushing in 1992 selected number one overall in the NFL Draft...Ran track as a junior.

Who is he?

And although you have been dissing Leinart, you really wanna try to make me believe this little "exercise" has NOTHING to do with Leinart? Okay.

it has just as much to do with Reggie Bush and Deangelo Williams and anyone else who is being hyped as "The next best player" at their position. Notice I am going through each position. Now will you PLEASE go to one of my other posts and explain what your eyes have seen that sets Matt apart from Jay Cutler who has performed VERY well against a confrence known for Defense, but not here. This is my friendly thread, and let's keep it that way.

Still you haven't answered.

So everyone's gonna be a bust? No thanks, don't think I wanna play that game. I actually do think colleges can produce some very good NFL players.

I believe it also................Peyton Manning, Orlando Pace, Donovan McNabb, Caddy Williams.....These guys were sure things going into the draft. The guys that I am mentioning to include Vince Young are not sure products. That is why I am pushing for a trade down to fill glaring needs. That is what this is for and not a Matt bashing thread. Now I will admit my other posts are Matt bashing, so go to those posts and argue there, and PLEASE GAWD give me your reasoning why Matt6 is our Savior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
