Anyway, I'm so tired of the Leinart bashing. This guy is a good quarterback. I heard the same bunch of crap about Tom Brady in 2000. 3 Super Bowls-Enough said!!!!! He played a way tougher defense than Young & really torched them for over 300 yards. He moves well in the pocket when pressure comes & he reads the entire field. |

1-2 in big games... a losing record means you're a loser. I didn't see Leinart put the game on his shoulders and win the game that respect goes to Vince Young. Isn't Vince Young 2-0 in Bowl games... WINNER. If ya want Leinart then pass on him and might as well keep Brooks.

1-2? What 2 big games has Linehart lost? Where was Vince against OU last year? I know what Linehart did to that same OU D.

Vince Young had a game for the ages and everyone has to agree with that. He had the best performance by any college QB in any big game. If you disagree remind us all of a better performance and post a link please. I will say it once again if Young stays at Texas he will more than likely have 2, yes 2 actual national championships, the Heisman, 43-2 record as a starter and eclispe every record Leinhart thought about having. YOU DO THE MATH. YOU'LL CHOOSE YOUNG. He maybe a little raw and some would say his mechanics are screwed up, but as BnB pointed out in another thread, he should not change a thing. That's has NFL QB's get screwed up, by the coaches. He is a natural ahlete and does not have to try, he is a natural leader and does not have to pretend. He will be a better NFL QB than most and everyone knows it. I don't care if he runs more than he throws. Vince Young beat the man and now VINCE YOUNG IS THE MAN!!!!!! |

I can't wait to see "The Man" try that BS in the NFL! LB's like Ray Lewis, Lavar Arrington, Brian Urlacher, & Tedy Bruschi (not counting Defensive Linemen) are dying for a QB to try & pull that crap, so they can unload on their butts!!!! Vince Young is in the same mold as Michael Vick, Randall Cunningham, Daunte Culpepper, & Donovan McNabb. They are all exceptional athletes, but they stay hurt alot. And if you look back at the career of Randall Cunningham (the only retired QB on the list), after that big injury, he didn't scramble as well. He had a solid career as a passer (though nothing special), but he was never again the double threat he once was. We need a Brady, Montana type that will be what he's supposed to be -a QB, not an athlete. You hear: "Well, Leinart doesn't have the strongest arm." I heard the same knock on Peyton Manning & Tom Brady: "Oh, Manning's polished, but Ryan Leaf has a better arm." By the way, where is Leaf now? And, "Brady reads the field well, but I don't think he can throw the deep ball." Bill Bellicheck still savors the fact that everybody overlooked the 3 time Super Bowl champ. When you watch Leinart, he has the same qualities as Brady. I want Bush 1st, but if he's gone, I would be just as happy with Leinart. I think it would be a major mistake by the Saints franchise to draft Vince Young ahead of Matt Leinart. |
