i love this after one game
vince young equals god and reggie bush and leinart are crap. so when vince young was fumbling the ball and having the hell beat out of him against the aggies why wasn't anyone talking about how he sucked. here is why-- it is ONE GAME. same as this one same as that one. i am not sure one way or another on young. but even after that game i still beleive as i did before he would do himself more to go back to school for a year. i still believe leinart is not that good. i still beleive reggie is something special. one game. that is all it was. christ if we evaluated players off of each game manning would suck then be good and brady and you get it.

.. a great part of it is backlash from hearing all year how great USC was and how great Reggie Bush was and how Leinart was the best QB ever in college and how USC was the greatest team ever. It just follows that:
a) people would call out USC, specifically Bush and Leinart, for failing to win one of the biggest games (and THE most hyped game ever) in college football in a long time,. b) Young has to be elevated to God status since Young beat the Demi-God Trojans. There's no other response to USC losing. |

i totally disagree with you..... i believe that VY was a top 5 pick all along but this one game gave him a stage to showcase his talent...everyone know he was talented but he hasnt played in as many big games as leinert n bush have and this game helped him out alot....not that leinert n bush dont deserve to be #1 overall but it just shows that VY belongs up there as well.....

Its not just one game... for some it was the game of there life. It was a HUGE game and you have to perform. Great players don't choose when to be great. What you saw in that game was how Leinart is going to be with the Saints. He isn't going to win big games for us, so instead of putting all our marbles in one bag, I'd rather have Reggie or trade down. If Vince comes out this year then TEXAS will take him, and we should snag Reggie and work on our offensive line and D.

well i have been for busgh all a long and still am. well i guess we will see hwo young fairs in the pros. should be interesting story. i don't think for usc this was the game of their life. for texas yes for usc no. they have won the last two years. they have proven themselves for a long time. thqat does make the win that much bigger for texas though also. i thought texas had a shot in this game anway. texas was a good team all year. big win for them. doesn't mean i think anymore or any less of young though. that is just me. because as a matter of fact all i have heard on here in reference to vick is how he wins. uhoh didn't happen this year. so i guess this is a little more about the team then one player.

I have to admit I have never seen an individual performance like the one VY put up Wed. night. But with that being said I still have a lot more confidence in Linehart on the next level. I can almost gaurantee that at worst Linehart will be a soild starter in the NFL ( most likely probowler).
In the NFL you have to have a deep ball. As good as Young looked in the Rose Bowl game, he never went down field. That worries me. |
