every single mock draft i see has us taking Leinart before Young. Now i kno i kno, i dont beleive any in these damn mock drafts, but cmon, how is it that everyone is riding Leinart that much. With all the talk about Young announcing his decision today, what are everyone's thoughts. Honestly, i think we are gunna screw this draft up more than with the Ricky Williams fiasco.

I don't know why people are grouping Young into the Running QB group. He is calm and cool in the pocket too. If you watch him play he checks off all of his options before he decides to run. Now just remember I am not saying that Vince is THE savior for this team, but neither is Leinart. I am just saying that if we CAN'T trade down we MUST select a healthy quick thinking QB. That is what Young brings. He also brings quick feet to a BAD O-Line. Matt is gonna get killed with our O-line.

and I don't think that Leinhart is going to be able to run like Archie did, no I know he won't be able to do that. Do any of us remember Archie and the O-lines he played behind. Archie was running for his life for 10 almost 11 seasons. I don't think Leinhart could run for one.

Oh I agree with that. We have big problems on o-line. Also, if you didn't hear the LeCharles interview on WWL, he said basically if you think changing the coach and QB is going to fix this team you're wrong. Apparently there are lots of problems on the team. I completely blame Haz and Loomis for that. Although I loved Mueller, he also had a way of bringing "problem children" in to play. I wasn't a fan of that method but I don't think what problems we have now are Meuller's fault.

I just really feel that if we want butts in the seats we should pick Young. He had not one but 2 GREAT Rose Bowl performances. He played GREAT all season and isn't hurt by the Heisman Hex for QBs. Remember when Vick came out and the Falcons traded up for him. You couldn't pay people to go to a Falcons game the year before and now People from around the globe travel to see him play. Also remember that Drew Brees was the other top QB coming out that year and San Diego was still able to get him and he has turned out to be just as injury prone as Vick. Although he is a gonna be great, and both teams got a franchise QB, so what is the point to all of this rambling........You never know what is gonna happen until you get the player on the field and let him play.

That is unbelievable!!!!!! Listen to what you're saying! You're saying that because we have a bad line that we should draft a worse quarterback who might be more mobile. That's ridiculous. And if mobility is the issue, then picking up Volek, Collins, or Kitna would actually be worse than Leinart. That's like saying, "hmmmmm we could draft Peyton Manning, but he's slow, so we better not draft him."

Ok first of all, one of those Rose Bowls was against a crappy Michigan team who got into Pasadena through the backdoor. Second of all, didn't Leinart play "GREAT" all season, including becoming a Heisman finalist and throwing for a touchdown and 98 more yards in the Rose Bowl than VY?

Kiper says Lienart is the best QB to come out in the last few years. Thats who says so . This gets paid to know this stuff. Sure he gets a few wrong here and there. But the majority of the time he is right.

Leinart 367 TOTAL yards
Young 467 TOTAL yards.......if you can't do the math that is 100 more TOTAL yards.

Young also completed 75% to Leinart's 72.5% completion%.......He is just so dynamic.

Young also had over 4,000 TOTAL yards and only played 4 full games. He has worked on his pass effeciency and learned to stay in the pocket, so he IS a pocket Passer and very accurate 65.2% for the season. Does this mean Young is the man???? NO! it just means that you can't bash Young and praise Leinart, they are two totally different QBs who played totally different teams in totally different conferences. Let's wait and see what the combines show.

He also said Ryan Leaf was gonna be a Pro Bowl QB. BOY WAS HE WRONG!!!!!!! I have had to watch Leinart play(USC is all the Armed Forces Network will play) all season long. His balls have no zip. His recievers and RBs have gotten most of his yards for him from shovel passes and screens. The media has skewd some of your thinking. Go with your gut on this one. I COULD PICK APART PAC-10 defenses, and with 2 RBs over 1,000 yards rushing it kinda makes it that much easier.
