You guys will hate me but keep brooks redo his contract then trade him after a good year. right now we will get a 4 at best after this year. Trade him next year. Trade donte this year after the draft along with howard before the draft if all pieces fall into place with the draft.

And the Jets have been quoted as saying they are sticking with Pennington. A new coach may not feel the same, but that is where they stand now. So how is this going to work? Im not bashing it I like the trade down theory. Just not sure if it will work.

I wouldn't draft either Leinart or Young. I would try to get 2 1st round picks for 2007 and use them to get Brady Quinn then, and get AJ Hawk this year.

As for who needs a QB:

Pennington's shoulder is a mess. I would think that the Jets would try to get someone behind Pennington, or flat out replace him. He's good, but not that good that you are going to pay him millions to be watching the game with a cast on the sideline.

As for the Titans, it depends how they feel about Volek. If they are confident in Volek, then they don't draft QB, and may be looking to take AJ Hawk. If that's the case, Saints wouldn't be able to trade down if indeed the Saints are looking to take AJ.
