Henderson Out?
We might be able to really get him cheap now:
Jets | Henderson out? Thu, 12 Jan 2006 12:10:04 -0800 Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson may not return to the team in any capacity, according to an NFL source. Henderson has interviewed for the Jets' vacant head coaching position, but the source says that the job will likely go to New England Patriots defensive coordinator Eric Mangini. If that happens, the source says, Mangini will likely replace Henderson and bring in his own staff. Henderson, who has interviewed for the New Orleans Saints' head coaching position, signed an extension with the Jets during the offseason. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/ |

RE: Henderson Out?
It sucks that the Jets knew exactly who they wanted and went that extra mile to get him. It was only a matter of time before Mangini got a head coaching position. Good young mind with a couple of very good teachers in Crennel and Bilichek. Pretty soon the Pats aren't going to have anyone but Bill left... and I bet they will still make the playoffs.

Of the ones interviewed or reported to be interviewed I still think Cauthron may be the "MAN". Although it may be nice if they do mjore than a phone call interview with Russ Grimm.

I'm not sure if the saints are interested in him anymore, seems like it could be Sherman or Payton

You guys have any clue on why he was interviewed first? Well, maybe it has a little something to do with NFL policy... You know, get the "policy" out of the way first, so we can get serious about hiring the person who is right for the job. I would be seriously shocked if he gets the job, let alone a serious candidate to begin with.
