this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think if you are interviewing for the job you might wanna look at the team first and have some idea what you might do coming into the interview....

RE: Anyone liking Carthon???
I like his playbook on Madden if that counts for anything.
He likes to run the ball with Droughns... so that's a plus with having Deuce since they are similiar runners. He likes to go deep which should benefit Henderson, Stallworth, and Hakim. I wouldn't mind him coming here... I think it will make our offensive more explosive. We just need to make sure he hires a good defensive coordinator. Last year we made good progress and hopefully we'll be able to keep building on that. |

RE: Anyone liking Carthon???
The Browns offense scored even less than our offense. Heck no. He and Payton are simply riding Parcells coat tails to the head coaching ranks. I'll pass.

I'd take Henderson or Sherman first, I am not impressed by his track record in Cleveland. They're offense is pretty bad.

Saints | Carthon said he would take job
Fri, 13 Jan 2006 11:17:56 -0800 The McComb Enterprise-Journal reports Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon said he would take the New Orleans Saints' head coaching position if it was offered to him. Carthon finished interviewing for the opening Wednesday, Jan. 11. "The main thing is that this is an opportunity for me and it's a great opportunity," said Carthon. "I think you have a chance to win here." http://www.kffl.com/hotw/ We have already interviewed everyone I think we are going to. We need to make the decision now and get it done so the team can move on. Henderson, Carthon, Payton, Sherman or Grimm I like a little about each guy and would rather Henderson because of the defensive aspect. |

As I said before I really like Sherman but if he's not hired I hope to see my second choice Sean Payton, he's 42 years old and has worked with Parcells for the pass three years, with Sean I think he'd bring along a great playbook and just as important leadership.....
Hopefully we will soon find out who the new coach will be |
