The Washington Redskins have put Fred Smoot on the trading block and it says they will trade him for a high second round pick. And Oakland are putting Charles Woodson back on the trading block. I think Woodson would be awsome across from Carter with Ambrose off the bench. What do you think.

A second round pick for either of those two would be great. Davis was looking for a first for Woodson when he was rumored to be shopping him eairler this off season with no apparent takers, one has to wonder if he would be willing to let him go for less now. Despite the injury and the off year Woodson is a top notch corner. Smoot would be interesting to think about at a second round pick he is a good young corner, we surely would not see anyone of his calliber in the secound round. I know the Skins are hurting for picks but with Champ a free agent I wonder if they should give up there other starting corner now. I would not like to see either for one of our #1\'s. Of the two I would prefer to see Woodson but why would Davis let this guy go for anything but a big pick, are they still that capped out and would Woodsen free up that much, what\'s his cap figure?

70% of the earth is covered by water- the rest is covered by Smoot!
Can\'t remember what game it was, but this was something Fred looked into the camera and said once. I rolled out of my chair, I was laughing so hard. |

We passed on Smoot to pick Deuce , and now he\'s available for a second round pick? Pull the trigger on this trade and if he\'s half as good at corner as Deuce is a RB the Saints administration looks a wise as Yoda himself.

If the rumor is true, I make this trade. Smoot it 24, this coming year will be his 3rd year as a pro. The two hardest positions to go from college to pro are QB and CB. A 2nd round pick for him is a steal. He hasn\'t hit his prime, and Pak was right, when he was at Miss St, he used to eat LSU\'s lunch.
Pro stats 2001 33 tackles, 5 interceptions (He did not start all 16 games) 2002 61 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 4 interceptions Compare those to Charles Woodsen\'s first two years in the league 2001 64 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 5 interceptions 2002 61 tackles, 1 interception EDIT: Where did you get your information on this? Raiders | Callahan Dispels Trade Rumors - from KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
April 20, 2003 14:28:40 PT Jim Jenkins, of the Sacramento Bee, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Bill Callahan deemed the rumors of the team trading CB Charles Woodson as ?laughable?. \"Five Pro Bowls in five years,\" Callahan said. \"I don\'t know how that one got started.\" Earlier post from kffl: \"If the Raiders trade him [Woodson], he would save them $1.3 million against the cap.\" I didn\'t believe the rumor then, I don\'t believe it now. |
