He SS, I was happy when the Saints drafted AMac last year. He has so much potential and why Hass didn't play him at all in the last 3 weeks blows my mind. If we do trade down I would like to see AMac get a legit chance to compete for the starting qb job. However, all that being said, I still want to draft Leinart.

if we did not have at least one proven qb and one with a hellava lot of potential, i'd agree....
after all, if lienart does come in, he's coming in at the pro level............would he be thrown to the wolves? there are many needs of upgrading with the saints and i hope they go that route......... smitty |

ya'll want adrian mcpherson competing for the starting quarterback job? this guy couldn't beat out bouman for a backup role last season, and now, all of a sudden, ya'll think he's ready to be a starter? come on now, this ridiculous, considering we will draft a quarterback, whom will probably be the starter from day, but

AMac couldn't beat out anyone whose evaluators make the gold standard Aaron Brooks. Had he been appraised by legitimate qb evaluators, he might have made it in. Remember, this former coaching staff didn't think that Jake didn't have the stuff to lead the team and he's only the highest rated qb in the history of NFL playoffs. Maybe if AMac fumbled and ran backwards more, he'd have seen a lot of action.
