The rap on this guy in Houston was that his system was too complex and David Carr got killed waiting for plays to develop. Now, I don't think that was fair because Carr is extremely slow on his reads. If he is coming, I have to believe we are definately getting Lienhart due to his great skills at reading defenses.

RE: Chris Palmer
i don't agree that carr is slow on his reads. i had andre johnson on my fantasy team so i watched all the texans games. it was rare for carr to get more than 2 seconds in the pocket. if he did get more than 2 seconds it was usually because he was rolling out of the pocket.
i too think leinart would be a good fit for a palmer style offense |

Yeah, I don't think it didn't work because Carr had to take a lot of time to make his reads; I think it's because Houston had the worst OLine in NFL history and he didn't exaclty have a lot of time to sit back and pick apart the defenses.

RE: Chris Palmer
Remember, Palmer got fired after the first 2 games here and Joe Pendry changed the system to quicker plays and short hitch patterns.
