RE: lions
The Lions can bring in whomever they want to coach that offense, it won't matter if they don't fix their current quarterback problem. Joey is a bust and Garcia is just too old and injury prone. That being said, Martz could be a good hire if they plan on drafting Cutler.

RE: lions
i mean i can't make an argument for harrington and neither would i try. but you don't know how much the lack of his success is bad route running or injuries to his wideouts. i am not saying it was or wasn't but if it was martz can probably help with that as far as the route running. anyway i still think that is a great occord. and a great dcoord

RE: lions
If I'm the Lion's I wouldn't give up on Joey just yet, when he came into the league I thought that he'd do well, I still feel the same way, it will just take the right coach to help him get over the hump, Joey could benefit with the Martz hire, I have more faith in Harrington than Brooks.

RE: lions
That is an impressive staff... but unless they get consistent play from their quarterback, the will be the same old Lions. Talented but inconsistent team... wow, I just described the Saints too.

RE: lions
I'd take Joey too if he didn't have to deal with his 3 best receivers being hurt or in jail for drug possession, he had a decent RB to help him out (besides oft-injured Kevin Jones and permanent backup-who-sometimes-starts Bryson), he had a good OLine, and he had a coach who was willing to work with him. I think with a guy like Martz, Harrington could definitely be worth saving.

RE: lions
If Martz goes to the Lions, Harrington will excel. Harrington is not a west coast QB, and was basically stuck in that type of offense his entire career. Harrington needs Martz in a bad way. Martz runs the type of vertical offense that should play right into the strength of Harrington.
