Haslett and Loomis may be smarter than anyone knows

Is it possible that the Ernie Conwell signing had just as much to do with signing a TE as it did with taking a TE away from the Rams? Most of the mock drafts I have seen have the Rams selecting a LB with their first pick. So is it possible that we went after Conwell in an attempt to force the Rams to draft TE, leaving a better LB available to us at the 17th or 18th pick. Just a thought, I know its a little out there.

mmm.... didnt think about that possibility and it makes sense. All the mock drafts I see with Boss gone before the 17th have the Rams taking him. If they do draft a TE then hats off to Haz. But aren\'t we getting the number 1 pick from Cin anyway.....ok lets stop this!

i seriously doubt that the rams would take a TE in the first... maybe in the 2nd but their are too many solid players available to take a TE
