Offensive and Defensive Formations......

I know that the answer to this questions depends on certain factors but just for the hell of it....

What offensive and defensive formations or schemes would you like to the see the Saints run in the future?

Personally....I'm a big fan of short passes so I would definitely like to see some type if not the actual west coast offense. As far as defense....I still feel that the 3-4 offers the best variations.....cofusing schemes....and blitz packages.

What about you??

I would like to see an offense similar to the Seahawks' offense. Karney is a VERY good blocker, and I think Deuce would be helped a lot with a big lead blocker in front of him. Also, with the FB, run a lot of three wide with no TE. And a lot of two wide, two RB, and one TE would be good to make sure Hilton is getting a chance to change the games.

I like the 3-4, but we are NO WHERE NEAR HAVING THE RIGHT PERSONNEL!!!!!!!!!! I say stick with the 4-3. We have two great DEs that are built for a 4-3, and our LBs still need help!

Lets see......we can easily turn W. Smith into an OLB. McKinnon would make an excellent ILB along with Buckwoldt. C. Grant can stay on the line. GGGrrrr.. I guess you are right...we still need a few people before we can pull off the 3-4. I really wish it could happen again.

Bockwoldt is awful. Don't even try to tell me he should be on this team. He wouldn't start for ANY other team in the NFL.

LOL. He had his moments but I guess you are right. Consistency was not really his thing. But I'm stickin with McKinnon. Every play and every down...he was stickin someone good.

I like Colby and I don't see why he doesn't deserve to be on this team. Hey if Tebucky Jones can start for a couple of seasons while having a fat contract, and not being able to tackle or cover a turtle, Colby's doing a good job. 8)

In all seriousness, if he can become a better tackler, I think he could be awesome. He's always around the ball... he just needs to learn how to wrap up his tackles. I'm definately rooting for him and hopefully he'll get consistent this year. Should he be a starter? Probably not until he gets that problem fixed. But I don't think we have any better options on our team... unless you're ready to put Watson there whom is still unproven himself.

He takes bad angles, he gets blown up by running backs when he should be blowing THEM up, and he has marginal speed. Sure he's a great underdog story, and I'd like to see him succeed, but the fact is, when Colby Bockwoldt is on the field, our team is worse.

I like McKinnon too fatius. He's got an unbelievable motor and always seems to be going 110%. However, his lack of speed bothers me, and he just can't drop back into coverage. Good run-stuffer, bad in pass protection.

I thought Colby runs a 4.5/4.6... something like that.

Not sure... you're probably right. Point is, he's just not good. He wouldn't be a starter on any of the 31 other teams in this league. We need LB help.

You think if they implement a west coast offense that AB could strive? Think about it....short passes...nothing risky.
