this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Because the repairs to the Louisiana Super Dome will not be completed in time for the pre-season, where (other than New Orleans) would you like to see the Saints play their two home pre-season games in '06?...

Pre-Season Games

RE: Pre-Season Games
It would be good for Lafayette to host a game or two.

Being that Baton Rouge is the state's capital, largest city, & home to the LSU Tigers (Louisiana's winning football team), that is where the Saints should play.

I agree with you , it does make sense in a way, but here in Lafayette there are plenty of hotel's in the area, also, Cajun field is the right size for a pre-season game, it holds around 25,000 ppl which could be sold out, the stands would be full making it a lot of fun for the fans with a packed house..

RE: Pre-Season Games
I would really love to see the Saints play a game in Lake Charles at "the Hole" (Cowboy Stadium), but I don't think it will ever happen. However, I think I remember them playing a scrimmage there many years ago, before the stadium was totally renovated. It's small, but very state of the art with a great deal of luxury boxes. Like I said, I don't believe it will ever happen, but here's to hoping.
