Tagliabue promised "Salary Cap Relief"
I know during the season that Tags make an idol comment about helping the Saints stay competitive for the 2006 season. One of the things he said was possibly allowing the Saints to have some relief from the salary cap. Unfortunately I can't find the article, or any other mention of anything like that since.
Does anyone else remember something like that? And if he did say something like that, why hasn't there been any follow up? |

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2227717 Sorry it was the owners discussing it, not Tags himself. Still, why no follow up? |

RE: Tagliabue promised "Salary Cap Relief"
Its not cool. thats why. Its not fair to allow the Saints some relief if you will, unless the players want to live in the 9th Ward which duh is unlikely then why should the players get more? The cost of living is cheaper there than most places and how many of the players actually live there 24/7 except only during the season. It was a fleeting thought that should and shall go by the way side.
