this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Happen to catch the comments Payon had on Cutler. Reminded him of a certain QB out of Mississippi. Hmmm...

Yeah Cutler should be our pick at QB after seeing him at the combine. I feel much safer with picking him, but I still think trading back and going after Brick and second round if still there Mongold. We would shore up our OL for years to come.

Was it Kudla that topped the bench list? Was running out of the house, at the time, so I didn't catch the name. Strong-side linebacker, anyone?

You're talking about the Ohio State guy... he plays on the DL. He's tempting because of his workouts, but we have enough DE's on this team. Now if the guy could add 30 pounds... which I wouldn't like to see, he could help us at DT. But didn't Leisle put on a show at the combine with his benching... and he still hasn't cracked the field.

Ok, that confirms it, it was Kudla, who is being projected as a strong-side linebacker.

With that strength, I'd love to see what he can do against a tight end-tackle combo

Lets see what campus workout brings next. But cutler is the 2nd best and i do not see young knocking him out know.
Veron Davis is a once in a lifetime TE. that is the hype he made at the combine. I would not mind the risk if we trade down to picks 6-10 in the first. Man there are some good recieving TE this year. But davis is a blocker, hands and speed to boot.
Ngata looks like a monster out there too. he too in 6-10 is a nice addition.
Jesse Mahelona, Dusty Dvoracek and Broderick Bunkley are other DT that looks good
Abdul Hodge I think will drop with his workout. Maybe a better game player than a workout guy.
he wont last to the third but he is not a top choice in round 2 any more..
