Saints Draft Rumors!!!

Has anyone kept up with Smoot\'s play in the last two years? I mentioned in another thread that I hit Washington\'s boards a couple days ago trying to get a feel for how they felt about the trade.

Yeah, I posted them in another thread comparing his past two years with that of Woodson\'s first two years. Don\'t remember the thread, but it was the beginning of this week, I know.

The deal from the skins point is they are desperate for picks they only have three left this year and Smoot can be a pain in the ass, he has enough attitude to make Joe Horn seem humble. Plus the Skins are headed into cap hell soon and Smoot\'s contract will be up soon and he will want to get paid, the Skins will never be able to afford him so why not let him go now and get something for him. There loss will hopefully be our gain, we can afford this guy and with two pro bowlers to watch him he should only get better , I\'d love to see him as a Saint. Would be one hell of a secondary.
I have a good friend from Washington so we watch the Skins when possible, Smoot is aggressive he does get burned but he is fast and he makes plays and he is getting better. Not a big hitter but he can cover. This guy has some good years ahead of him , this could be a great place for him to grow with veteran guidence.

i went to a coupla skins games last year and he looked pretty damn good to me, in the saints game they held brooks to just over 200 yards and horn was the leading receiver with 75 yards but he was matched up against bailey so smoot didn\'t give up much on the other side
