I'm very excited. However, a lot of that excitement plays on the actions of the Saints between here and Pre-Season time. I'm always stoked about the next Saints season but lets get real...if they are going to pull a bunch of boneheaded moves...then my 170.00 dollars towards my Sunday Ticket are gonna hurt to let go.

I want to be excited. I want to see this as the golden oppertunity it is. But Benson and the Front Office are doing what they've done for years...
- Bring in ONE big name to make it look like we're players in the FA market (but not sign him). - Wait out the first round of FA and then go for the secondary Journeymen that are available/left. I want action. I wanted our FA period to look more like Cleveland's or St Loius'. There are two teams that attacked the open market and got what they needed. |

greetings all, i haven't been around due to being parked in st. bernard parish for work. not just no internet, no aything there.
anyhoo, you better be excited if you are a lifelong saint fan. january to mid april is THE highlight of most saint seasons! of course the free agent signing period comes and that takes a little of the glimmer off because no LB or obvious need was addressed. well, maybe a second tier player gets plugged in. this front office does seem to see something in players that no one else can see sometime though. can you say dale carter, LOL. okay, free agency passes but there is still the draft right? hope springs eternal! we're gonna get marcus trufant, the best cb on the board- uh, no. okay, a LB higher than the 3rd Rd... odell thurman in the second, eeeha- uh, no. somehow, someway, maybe the chase lyman picks will fulfill something we fans cannot see and we'll win anyway. history is history. wipe the slate and a fresh start for the payton regime. there IS money to be spent. go out and gett'em, make it happen. hell, james will leave a contender and go to arizona for enough bucks. i am always as excited as i can be. the more impact names that sign on the dotted line, the more that will be. |

I was really hoping that this year would be different from all the other years as an organization under Benson. Alas, it looks like an exact replica so far. Big names coming and going, speculation, great TALK fom the front office and coaching staff. And then other teams are making all the moves, free agency dies down and we end up signing someone who was injured and might work out to be a great addition for the money. Please prove me wrong, please, please, please! God, we go through the same highs and lows in the off-season as we do in the regular season, it's just not right for one team and it's fans to have to go through this year after frickin' year! Ok, off to the AA meeting I go, I'll see y'all there.
