RE: Broncos looking to deal
the broncs 2 firsts AND second round pick could only get them up to about #5 overall by the charts. they have players i would take in trade with picks but none i imagine they would part with.

RE: Broncos looking to deal
Trade down with the Jets, get their 1st, 3rd this year & either 1st or 2nd(+3rd) next year.
THEN trade down with Denver and get both their firsts and a 3rd or 4th this year and either a 1st or 2nd(+3rd) next year. We'd be in control of the draft next year with up to three first round picks next year. Now I know everyone is still high on Hawk, Williams or Furguson but there are still players in Fa to cover those positions. Hawk = Arrington, McGinest, or Peterson Williams = DE, something we don't really need. Furguson = Walker, Runyon, or Hopkins We have the money because the rookie pool is what you take most of the salary/signing bonus from and it's separate from the sal cap. |

Okay, did anyone actually READ this? It says the Broncs want to trade their two picks THIS YEAR for high picks NEXT YEAR. So we would not have to give up our number two THIS YEAR to acquire either of their picks. I like it. I would give up next year's pick for their pick this year. By the time we finish trading down from number two, we should have enough picks to make up the difference of whatever we gave them. Can you imagine if in this year's draft we had our first(and say traded down to 4-7 for more picks), then one of the Broncos firsts, then two seconds and a third? Holy crap. So we would have two first round picks, two seconds, AND a third. Wow.

You would have some serious cuts come August and a very inexperienced team. Still, three #1 and mutiple picks in rounds 2 and 3... you gotta like that. We still haven't finished free agency.

#5 - Hawk #21? - that dt from FSU #29 - Mangold #34 - Hodge #37 - Whitworth |

oh yeah, hell yeah, THIS is the time to load up. being 2nd worst most probably wouldn't project the saints later than mid first next season. and with the team history who could? i'm thinking it is gonna be a bears like turnaround this year though. so trading next years #1 for either of the broncs first rounders would be shrewd.
sorry, i can't stop these fantasies... add that to getting the jets #2 this year and next for going to the 4 spot. so we pick at #4, #22, #34, and #35. you fill in the names. something like this maybe D'Brick OT Tye Hill CB Abdul Hodge LB Claude Wroten DT okay then... Hawk LB Winston Justice OT Nick Mangold C Claude Wroten DT one more for the Mario pickers... Mario DE Jonathan Scott OT Ashton Youboty CB DeMeco Ryans LB |
