Buccaneers | Brooks completes his visit; has others planned
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 06:50:26 -0800

Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports free agent QB Aaron Brooks (Saints) completed his visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Friday, March 17 and left without a contract offer. Brooks has other trips scheduled, according to his agent, Mason Ashe. "Regarding that visit, I'll let them decide if they want to say anything about it," Ashe said. "It gave the coaches a chance to meet him and everybody seemed to like each other. It's been interesting. During his process, he's heard a lot of critiques of his game and his personal character. But it is a strange scenario for him."
I'm not sure that his agent is really doing him any favors. What do you all make of this?

Most of it not good I'm guessing. Baltimore is on the list I beleive and the best chance for him to become a starter again. Amazingly they're (Baltimore) a team we play this year, so there'd still be a chance to see how he does against our new D.

Raiders | Team tentatively scheduled to visit with A. Brooks
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 08:10:17 -0800

Jerry McDonald, of the Oakland Tribune, reports the Oakland Raiders have tentatively scheduled a visit with free agent QB Aaron Brooks (Saints) Tuesday, March 21. He will arrive in Oakland Monday evening March 20. A Raiders source said a visit with Brooks had not been finalized. The Raiders are expected to have serious discussions with Brooks. Mason Ashe, the agent for Brooks, told the New Orleans Times-Picayune Brooks wanted a chance to be a starter as well as the best overall opportunity. "We just want to find a team that wants him, that's the first thing," Ashe said. "We'll do what's best for him. He can help a number of teams, and he's a proven starting quarterback in this league."
This really could be a good place for AB. I hope this works out.

Even if the Ravens had P. Manning they wouldn't do good, not much of a team these days.

but yeah that's FO problem Brooks needs a team were the fans won't slay him and give him a chance. A good qB makes good recievers. Favre = Ferguson, Brooks = Horn

i can't believe some of the Brooks's haters actually want to see him play against the Saints. The only way you'd want to see Brooks play against the Saints defense is if they really do a serious upgrade. What the Saints have on defense at the moment would only make Brooks smile more...
