If he goes to the Bucs.....
1). The man can kill DB's with his passing skills
*note Joe Horn was a nobody until he met big brooks

2).The Saints have no good DB's the last time I checked except for my boy McKenzie

3). He has a decent Oline and a back that can take pressure off of Big Brooks

We were fools to let him go and sign a bum like brees and you are all fools for saying how Big Brooks sucks he broke and set every record the Saints have! And wut your gonna say he threw the ball backwards to a lineman? Wut about Mike Vick he has a comsecutive low QB rate yet he gets all the glory Brooks took us to our first Playoff win.......remeber this and know it well there's gonna come a day that we'll wish we would've kept Big Brooks and not Drew Fleas...cuz the fools came off of shoulder injury and we sign him 60 million we will pay for our sins in three coates of blood.....but this will be foreshadow and come to pass. **** Brees

I agree that we need to be a bit careful about where we let Brooks go. We did lack deep protection the last few years, but that is because the safeties had to help out our weak azz LB corps. With Bullocks another year in and Smith, I think we'll be fine deep (if we can get some LBs). McKenzie is very good, and all we really need is a serviceable guy who can start every game. I note that Woodson is available...

The Saints have no "say-so" as to where Brooks goes to... Now if Brooks was the kill all, that ya'll always claimed he is, then you would be happy to see him in the division. But then if Broos was simply the scapegoat that's more likely, than he will kill this team for years to come and smile about it!!!

No I'm a Saint fan....but i know when you do people dirty it comes back to haunt ya......I was there when he picked up the slacked from Blake and threw 441 yards on the Broncos or when he beat the Superbowl champs twice! I was there when he shredded the Giants with Horn and could't get a segment on ESPN...I was there when he beat the Skins and trucked Trotter for the win...I was there when you crucified him and chose a bum Drew Pees and made him a Saint....I was there when Katrina ran threw my people's life.....A Shreveport native I am and like the phoenix the Brooks will rise and we will to....just not wit Pees! We put so much into him yet he ain't even threw a first pass yet, but I will rep themSaints ya heard me! But I will Blast Pees every chance I get, why? Let's see...we traded for the guy and made him our unquestioned starting QB after not even one full year when Blake got hurt. Then after a so so '01 season, he starting biatching about a new contract. So what do we do? We make him a top 5 QB in terms of pay. Do we get top 5 results, NO. All we get is a QB playing injured because he's scared of getting HIS starting job yanked instead of sitting himself down for the good of the team. His only good season was '03, which was still didn't come close to equaling Drew Brees' best even when Brooks had Deuce, Horn, Stallworth and Boo Williams. Then we got someone who consistently regresses over the past two seasons. He showed no signs of improving or wanting to improve, yet we still stuck with him for 5 seasons.

And Brooksi is the second best passer we've ever had? True. Who did he beat out for that? Heath Shuler....Danny Wuerffel....Jim Everett....The Billy Joes....Bobby Hebert....wow that's some stiff competition. :roll:

And why do you call Brees a bum. Last I checked he had two more Pro Bowls and better career stats than AB. What evidence can you find that shows AB is a better QB than Brees?

Were do I start: He's the number one QB in Saints history look it up! Also Drew Pees a pro-bowler? The pro-bowl is fan base look at Mike Vick's stats and game logs he sucks yet he gets in cuz fools like u vote him in stats talk more than wins my friend as far as pro-bowls go...if Brooks would've had better coaching we be in the playoff more oops! We never had a a top 10 defense.

Is he the best?? I never looked because I don't care. If it's true then that's really no better. Do you know who the LA Clippers all time leading scorer is??? How about the Lions all time leading passer? The Cardinals? Prarie View A&M's? It doesn't matter because none of these teams have had any team success. AB can put up all of the "hall of fame" stats that he wants. It doesn't change the fact that he consistently made the most boneheaded plays. He wasn't very smart, and he didn't deserve the job. How would giving him one more year have mattered?

Yeah those are really close. :roll:

These are Brooks' "accompllishments". These are the the best seasons of his hall of fame career. His best season wasn't even as good as Brees' second best season. Look at the completion percentages. This is what equates into first downs. Into winning games. Brees didn't have a playoff team handed to him a team. He worked his way up and built his team. Brooks shining moment was his first year...and he did nothing after that.

from 2002 to 2004 AB is far superior to that piss ant Drew Pees look it up....AB is not joke, he's not a myth, nor a video game what he did for the organization as far as Horn and making no name slook good he's a legend!

there is one big difference between Brees and Brooks in their tenure as San Diego starter and Saint starter. One QB, has always played with a complete team and the other never had that...Now enter the Brees into the team that didn't give Brooks the complete team to play with.

I just posted the numbers for you. I did you a favor by leaving his '02 numbers out. His completion percentage was HORRIBLE. And Brooks thew for 3810 yds in '04 yeah...he had a 79.9 QB rating. Is YARDS all you care about????? i could give a crap if someone throws for 2000 yards or 5000. The game is about scoring touchdowns and not throwing INTs, while completing your passes. AB never even threw for about 60 percent in his entire career. Look around the league. Great QBs don't throw for a career 56 completion percentage and 79.7 QB rating.

I'll be the first to say that I have been real tough and critical of Drew Brees and I never said anything bad about Brooks. He was the qb during our only playoff win and I wish him well wherever he goes. However, Brees is an upgrade from Brooks, it was time for Brooks and the Saints to go in different directions. The thing I like about the Brees signing is that if he doesn't peform after the first year we can let him go. I have concerns about his shoulder but if he is healthy it is an upgrade in qb. I personally like Leinart (as everyone knows already) over both these guys but if I had to take Brees or Brooks I'm taking Brees. Brees is a smart qb who I believe will be able to manage the offense more effectively than Brooks. While these 2 players may put up similar numbers in terms of yards and td's Brees makes far fewer mistakes.

And Brees completes a far greater percentage of his passes, which is equally as important. More completions means longer drives and less three and outs, which was the norm for us.

Now you're at a point where you're making excuses for Brooks. And the team in 2000 was winning before Blake got hurt....Brooks just rode the wave that Blake started....not like he turned the team around or anything. The more and more players that we got, Brooks seemed to get worse. We have had Horn...a Pro Bowl WR...since 2000. We got Deuce...a Pro Bowl RB...in '01....Stallworth in '02....Henderson in '04. Other than the '03 season which seems like a fluke...he's been consistently average.

nope. Blake did nothing. Horn a nobody until AB and him met. Stallworth injury prone his early career. he dropped alot of balls.......until this year.....Deuce what can I say I luv Deucey i wathced him play in Shreveport in the Indie game numerous times we needed him,

Oh with brooks I followed his whole career and even met him on a couple occasions when he played for Virginia, the man has game whether you see or not the reocrd books knw him very well so who cares wut ya'll say he's there immortalized so I'm moving on.
