I think he is saying that they would trade both #1s.

Trading Abraham for a 1st round pick and then giving us 2 first rounders would be nice. Abraham is definately not coming here, he's franchised so theres no way he would stick around for more than the 1 year and we already have good DE's... Between kffl and the article in the thread "Why Brees over Matt" a lot of people think the Jets are loading up to trade up with us. Abraham will leave the jets, one way or another, so they're going to need a DE, their OL has a lot of holes, Curtis Martin has maybe 1 year left before he retires, I just don't see them trading with us. However, if they get a 1 for Abraham and give us that 1 and their #4 pick I'm all for it.

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets are still trying to work out a trade with the Atlanta Falcons involving Jets' franchise free agent DE John Abraham. The Jets want Atlanta's first-round pick, 15th overall, to let Abraham join the Falcons. The Falcons initially offered their second-rounder (No. 47). In an attempt to break the impasse, a source said, Atlanta general manager Rich McKay offered to include a player with the second-rounder. The identity of the player isn't known, but the Falcons have discussed trading RB T.J. Duckett. But the Jets, according to the NFL source, said no to the two-plus-a-player.

I'll give the Jets a little credit for not wanting to give such a large part of their draft for Leinart.

Looking at the chart, if the Seahawks did the deal, we'd be looking at a value of 2400 for picks #4 and #31, so the Jets would need to throw in a 3rd rounder to make up the difference if they want to go get Leinart. I'm OK with this option.

If the Falcons do the deal, we're facing a value of 2850 for picks #4 and #15, so we'd need to throw in something else to balance the deal maybe? Either way, I'd rather pick at 15 than 31. At 15, it's not crazy to think we could come away with Bunkley (DT, Fla.) or Greenway (LB, Iowa).

I'd definately take picks #4 and #15. We could take Brick at 4, then at 15 take a LB like Greenway, then at 34 pick up Mangold at C. Or we could go Hawk at 4, then Winston Justice or Marcus McNeil at 15 and then Mangold at 34. We could also use the 15th pick on Bunkley as Brooks said in either scenario. That would make for a real nice start to the draft

There is also that rumor about Denver wanting to trade their two first-round picks for a high draft pick next year. That one I am not so sure about being true because how do you know the team you are trading with is going to finish poorly enough to have a high pick? If it is true, however, and we trade with the Jets, we could possibly have four first-round picks this year!

However, this year we have SO many holes on this team and Payton seems to want to win now. I'd be in favor of trying to get one (or even both) of Denver's 1st rounders. I'm pleasantly surprised with the moves the front office has made. Cutting Gandy should provide a significant cap savings and the Brooks cut helps us against the cap too.

I don't see where four picks would come from though. I just count three...two from the Broncos and one of our own. Trading with the Jets wouldn't net us another 1st....just swapping with theirs and most likely a second, unless they get that Abraham deal done with the Falcons.
