Top Seven
With all the hubbub about trading out of the #2 spot, how far down would you feel comfortable going? I think we need to get at least one high impact starter, not just someone good enough to replace some of the bums still around. As I look the board over it seems we could draft no lower than #7 (Oakland's spot) to get such a player. So my question is this- who are your Top Seven Rated Players in the Draft? Not a draft prediction because there usually will be a surprise or two or three to shake things up. This list would tell you who you should get at #7 at a minimum. Just seven and no maybes-
1. Reggie Bush 2. Matt Leinart 3. Mario Williams 4. D'Brickashaw Ferguson 5. Vernon Davis 6. A.J. Hawk 7. Haloti Ngata See the difference? It is highly probable that Young, Cutler, and/or Huff could be picked ahead of those. Your seven? |

Don't trade out of the spot, take Vince Young as he'll be the best athlete available and trade him if you get a great deal. Otherwise there's a high likelihood that Brees will not be in the league by the end of the 2006 season and we'll be kicking ourselves not having a star qb backup.

This is how I rank the current list of players, as far as what they bring to their respective positions.
1. Reggie Bush 2. D'Brickashaw Ferguson 3. Mario Williams 4. Matt Lienart 5. Vernon Davis 6. Haolti Ngata 7. Michael Huff The fastest rising player on my draft board currently is Chad Jackson. He has the potential to pass Holmes as the first WR selected. |
