I say we pass on this one & wait until draft day. After Houston takes Bush, teams will be in a bidding war for the #2 spot to get Leinart. Hold off & take the best deal. Something tells me this isn't exactly a blockbuster trade for us.

But, the Jets may not give us two firsts and another pick. But Joe is getting old, and Walker is a pro bowl receiver, and young. I guarantee if we had Walker and Stallworth and Joe with Brees at QB, we would become one of the most explosive units in the league. I wouldn't worry too much about how long the team has to protect, cause we would be able to make smart quick decisions and get the ball out quickly, instead of having to watch a guy stare down one player for far too long and take sacks.

I still don't like that trade very much, whodi. I just can't see a wide receiver coming off of a serious leg injury being worth that much in a trade. And isn't this the last year of his contract anyway? I would go for it, however, if they threw in next year's first round pick.

Hell, Daunte Culpepper tore all three ligaments in his knee, and he will be fine for the season. Walker will be fine. I think asking them to throw in next year's first as well is WAY to much. We would get Walker, a high first this year, AND a high second. We could do some damage with that.

This trade would give us great depth at receiver! But having said that, I'm with the train of thinking that the longer we hold off, the higher the trade value is the better way to go.
The #2 pick is going to the highest bidder! ( Find a way to get AJ Hawk, and some picks! ) |
