Improving and cutting out dumb plays are nice things to say but any fan should only be satisfied with a championship and nothing less. We've seen teams in the nfl go from worst to first, so I say why not us? Why not come out of nowhere and bring a championship to NO. I've only been on this site for a couple months and this is the first time the topic about an upcoming year has come up so I may have gotten carried away with saying that Saints fans settle for mediocrity, but I'm only going off what I see and I'm not seeing many people saying they want a championship this year. I may be just me, but when the season is over and another team is celebrating a championship i get jealous and pissed, so I'll only be satisfied with a super bowl title. P.S. Landing a hot chick like Joe said is a nice bonus.

This ain't Fantasy Island, and none of us caught a Leprechaun to get three wishes. What team do you know that has gone from worst to first to win a title? That's just something the league puts out to promote parity. Can you go from worst to respectable? Hell yeah. But teams that win titles usually have enjoyed some semblance of recent success. NE? Went to the Superbowl with Bledsoe. Pittsburgh? Numerous AFC champ games and a Superbowl trip under Cowher. Tampa Bay? One of the league's best defenses for YEARS, and NFC champ game participant. Those are your recent winners. Anyone who questions the fact any group of fans wants to win a championship is missing the boat. We ALL want that, I bet more than any other fans in the league. But we're not much for blowing smoke up people's asses on this site, and like to stay grounded in reality.

Who isn't tired of mediocrity around here? Who doesn't want a championship? But, you got to be a little realistic. We finished the season 3-12 or whatever last year and what do you think our chances are of winning it all... not great at all. We're better off taking it a game at a time and just making it into the playoffs would be a great first step... and that would definately satisfy me. We all want to win around here... baby steps fellow grasshopper.

Whodi, St. Louis Rams... 1998: 4-12, 1999: 13-3 super bowl champs. It can happen! Sorry, I guess I'm too optimistic. Who would have thought George Mason would be in the final 4 at the beginning of the year?... Papz, what are you implying with "The last guy who was telling us how to be a Saints fan was the first one who jumped ship on us midway through last season." I've been a Saints fan forever, I'm not jumping ship if they struggle next year.

That's what the last guy said. I'm not saying you will or you won't (I'm almost sure you won't)... I'm just telling you what happened to the last guy.

So one team out of 40 years of Superbowl champs is your example? Consider me convinced.

Thanks for the heads up papz, haha. Seen way too many losing seasons since I've been a fan, if we do struggle next year, one more isn't going to push me over the edge, or will it...

Sorry whodi, it's just the way I feel. I'm too competitive to be happy with anything less than first. If we don't win it all but we made improvements, I'll look back on the year and find positives, but for me man, losing isn't something I'm satisfied with.

And what makes you think anyone else is fine with losing? Seems to me you'll just be more crushed than the rest of us cause of your unrealistic expectations. Nothing I can do to help that.............................

Timay was a simple guy, "You might say a cockeyed optimist, who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue."... Thanks for lookin out for me, I'll be good, but you know, new year, anythings possible... I'm excited about this year, aim for the sky, see what happens
