Saints seriously thinking about Leinart

McShay chat going on right now says that if the Saints don't get blown away with a trade they are seriously entertaining picking Leinart and using Brees as a one year gap QB. Everyone needs to bust out those Leinart jerseys from the trash cans. |

It is just a matter of what "blown out of the water is". Pick up an additional first and second and still be in the top 4 would be a nice blowjob IMO.

Yeah! a victory (of sorts) for reality! I agree LK that top 4 and another 2nd would be nice, but still not full value. There'd need to be a third rounder in there considering that Lienart, Bush and Yound are all potential 1st selections.

I think this is in retaliation to the Titans saying they WILL sign Vince Young(Which is just a ploy to keep the Jets at number 4 so Norm Chow can get his guy.) So now we are telling teams "Hey, unless you give us a good trade you WILL have to settle for someone else." This is standard front office work. Let the media take this story and run and we can get the Jets 2 first rounders and the second or third rounder. We then pick up Da Brick and Mangold. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

spkb..I'm excited myself, in fact I can't remember the last time I felt this way about a draft, it's almost the same feeling as the first regular season game of the year, I guess it's so because we can see a glimpse of how the Saints could look next year, new coaching staff, new QB and a new attitude.
I was happy the day I heard we signed coach Payton, now with only a few weeks into his new job I think we made the right choice, he's getting his team together. The only thing I can say is "Hee-Haw" Saints 06' |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

Yeah the Saints are in a tough position here trying to dump the pick is going to be though if you think Matt will be there in the 3-4 pick why trade up to get him... and Saints may not get the value for trading down. So plot, plan, stradegy is running amuck.
