I think by siging Brees the Saints have signaled their intent to trade down or select someone other then a QB at no. 2. Why sign another high paid QB (and rookie at that) in the draft and have like $50 million locked with two players in the same postion? If Brees is not able to go or his durablity is not there then shame on the Saints. The team has far too many holes to fill to lock up all that money in one player position. We've got to get some pass blocking/run blocking on OL and we need an impact DE. A QB who can throw 5 TD's a game doesn't always lead to super bowls... Just ask Indy fans... Of course I'll take their record any day but there is more to Indy then just Manning.

Hawk, I could deal with if we traded with Jets, and got McNeil or Justic and Mangold with the second first and our second.

I was & still am an advocate for Matt Leinart. I think he will be a very good NFL QB. That said, after signing Brees for $60 million, I think we need to fill our other needs with the draft. Leinart will be asking a premium price & we have other needs to fill with that money. Make a deal with the Jets & draft Hawk & Mangold with our 2 first rounders. Address DT & possibly a good RB like Joseph Addai with our second rounder(s).
